Disabling a module takes effect on the next request across every terminal. Its data is retained for 90 days, so switching Inventory off for a quiet season never costs you the count.

These switches decide what a guest is even offered. With "Pay from customer device" off, the QR menu never renders a payment path — the option does not exist client-side, so it cannot be forced by a crafted request.

The workflow decides the order of operations for every table. It is enforced server-side: a step cannot be skipped from the UI, and an out-of-order transition is rejected and logged.
