Print these once

A table's code never changes on its own. It is written when the table is created and nothing in normal service touches it — no nightly rotation, no per-visit code, no reprinting. Glue the card down and it works for the life of the table. Replace one only if its card has been photographed and shared publicly, or the table is being retired — and know that doing so kills the printed card immediately.
